Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
Our Sexual and Reproductive Health programme is aimed at connecting young women and girls to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights information and services; enabling young women and girls to make informed choices; Increasing voices of young women and adolescent girls in the public domain; strengthening participation of young women and adolescent girls in articulating their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights needs and concerns.
Anticipated outcomes: Change in attitudes, beliefs and perceptions that perpetuate denial, blame and stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS; A shift in power dynamics that promotes cooperation between men and women in fighting HIV/AIDS; Improved access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights information, education and skills for prevention that takes into account the gender related barriers to information and knowledge and using this knowledge to achieve healthy relationships; Improved partner communication on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights issues; Strengthened HIV/AIDS support groups for women infected and affected by HIV/AIDS through partnerships and technical assistance; Assertive behaviour by women living with HIV/AIDS; Ending Violence Against women and Gender Based Violence.
